This ice fishing tournament will be headquartered out of "The Fort" on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage. Prizes will be given for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd largest fish caught in several categories. Food and beverages will be available, along with raffle tickets. For information contact 715-762-3291.
February 23, 2008..........Flambeau Flowage Ice Fishing Jamboree
This ice fishing tournament will be headquartered out of Donner's Bay Resort on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage. Cash prizes will be given for the largest fish caught in several catagories. Food and beverages will be available, along with raffle tickets (win a gun, week vacation package or a deer-cam), in the tent that will be set up on the ice. For information contact 715-476-2555.
August 9, 2008..........Pig, Corn & Karaoke
The Turtle-Flambeau Flowage Association will hold a Pig & Corn Roast on August 11, 2007 with food being served beginning at 3:00 p.m. The roast will be held at the Midway Bar located on Ashland County Highway F, 11 miles north of Butternut . On the menu will be pork with all the fixings and sweet corn. DJ & Karaoke will provide musical entertainment beginning at 4:00 p.m. All proceeds from the pig roast will go toward Turtle Flambeau Flowage Association activities. August 31 - September 1, 2008..........Turtle-Flambeau Flowage Musky Rodeo
The Turtle-Flambeau Flowage Association will be holding a three day Musky Fishing Rodeo. The tournament begins Saturday at 8 a.m. and runs through noon on Monday. Pre-registration is required by contacting Donner’s Bay Resort at 715-476-2555 or Midway Bar at 715-769-3680. The entrance fee is $25.00 per person. Registration includes entrance into the tournament, a Saturday night steak feed and recognition for winning anglers. An awards ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Turtle-Flambeau Flowage is a 19,000-acre body of water located in Iron County, Wisconsin that provides one of the best Northwoods fishing experiences.
