Turtle Flambeau Flowage 100 Year Anniversary Celebration

The Turtle Flambeau Flowage celebrates its official 100-year anniversary! Established in 2026 with the final construction of the dam, the Turtle Flambeau Scenic Wilderness Waters Area and Trude Lake is comprised of nearly 14,300 acres of water and 21,300 acres of public land for you to use and enjoy throughout the year. The celebration will include an 11:30am presentation by the Wisconsin DNR and a 1pm presentation by Michael Hittle, author of An Accidental Jewel. Additional stakeholders will be on hand to provide information. Food and beverages will be available.

Turtle Flambeau Flowage Ice Fishing Jamboree

LOCATION: Donner’s Bay Resort, 2974 Hiawatha Road, Butternut, WI 54514

This ice fishing tournament, held in memory of Claus Kraetke, is headquartered out of Donner’s Bay Resort on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage from 7am to 4pm. Cash prizes will be given for the largest fish caught in several categories. Hot food, warm & cold beverages and tickets for many raffles. Fun for all! The resort is located just off of Iron County Hwy FF between Mercer and Butternut at 2974 Hiawatha Road, Butternut, WI 54514. Snowmobile trail #9.
