Turtle Flambeau Flowage Association Pig & Corn Roast

The Turtle-Flambeau Flowage Association will hold a Pig & Corn Roast with food service beginning at 4:00 p.m. and going until it is gone, usually by 7:00 p.m. On the menu will be pork, with all the fixings, and sweet corn. Live music, raffles and beer specials. All proceeds will go toward Turtle Flambeau Flowage Association activities. Event location: Midway Bar, 89281 County Highway F, Butternut, 54514.

8th Annual Sno-Goers "Winter Blast Poker Run"

Pick up entry sheets at participating business locations. Locations will be listed closer to event.

Cost will be $10.00 per sheet. Prizes are 100% payback of entry fees. Prizes are awarded to the overall top 4 poker hands. 1st place payout is 40%, 2nd place is 30%, 3rd place is 20%, and 4th place is 10% (minimum payout $300.00). Each business stamp will earn you a poker card. Five stops will be mandatory for a full hand. All sheets must be turned in no later than 7:00 p.m. on January 14th at the Groomer Barn. "Poker Run" is in conjunction with the "Winter Blast". All proceeds benefit Mercer Sno-Goers Snowmobile Club.

2nd Annual Mercer School Senior Class Ice Fishing Tournament

Mercer School's Senior Class 2nd Annual Ice Fishing Tournament will be held on Saturday, January 12th, 2013 on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage from 8a.m.-6p.m. Registration is $10 per ticket or 3 tickets for $25. Ages 10 and under fish free. Categories of fish are Walleye, Northern, Perch, and Crappie. Prizes for top 3 biggest fish in each category with a separate kid's category. Downtown Mercer at the Groomer Barn. Watch for signs on the Railroad Grade, also called Corridor 17. Starts 10 a.m. and runs until midnight. Serving food and refreshments throughout the event. Live music beginning at 6:30 p.m. to 11:30p.m. NO COVER CHARGE! Lots of raffle drawings and prizes. All proceeds benefit the Mercer Sno-Goers Snowmobile Club.

9th Annual Justin Donner Memorial Fisheree

7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sponsored by the JPD Warrior Project, Inc. This ice fishing tournament will be headquartered out of Donner’s Bay Resort on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage. Cash prizes will be given for the largest fish caught in several categories. You do not need to fish to participate as there will be many raffles & auctions, along with food & beverages in the big heated tents that will be set up on the ice. FIREWORKS over the ice will immediately follow the awards ceremony.
